2026 MLK Jr. Day March & Celebration
Theme: “Teach Them Well: The Future Starts With Us”
Join us for a free, public, and all‑are‑welcome celebration honoring the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
You do not need to be a Cedar Park or Leander resident to participate; everyone is invited to march, celebrate, and reflect together as a community.
This event is hosted by the City of Leander, the Leander Public Arts and Culture Commission, and the City of Cedar Park.
MLK March: 10:00 a.m.
The march begins at the Cedar Park Recreation Center and ends inside the center, where the celebration continues with performances from dancers, musicians, and spoken word artists.
Main Stage Celebration: 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Day of Celebration Project
In honor of Dr. King’s vision for a beloved community, we’re partnering with Brighter Days Food Pantry and The Healthy Hygiene Project for a food and hygiene drive.
Bring your donations to the MLK Day of Service booth during the event on Monday, Jan. 19.

Calling all LISD students!
This year’s contest invites students to reflect on the theme “Teach Them Well: The Future Starts With Us” and explore how knowledge, leadership, and community can shape a brighter future.
