Join us to help clean up Cedar Key’s coast at the 40th Annual International Coastal Cleanup!
Organized every year by the Ocean Conservancy, this global event has seen Cedar Key’s community participate for 19 years—and we’d love for you to be part of it! Mark your calendar for September 20th, from 8 AM to 12 PM (check-in starts at 7:30 AM).
Volunteers receive a free lunch and a t-shirt (while supplies last)!
How to Participate:
Simply show up at Cedar Key City Park starting at 7:30 AM to check in, pick up trash bags, and get assigned a cleanup area. As you collect trash, you’ll tally items using either the provided paper data sheets or the Clean Swell app. Remember to bring your own gloves! To receive a t-shirt, please turn in your completed data sheets along with the trash.
Pre-Registration:
Use the form below to pre-register by September 18th, 2025. After that date, you can still register in person at the City Park on the morning of the event. Early registrants can pick up cleanup supplies upon arrival. Once you drop off your filled trash bags and data sheets, your lunch and t-shirt will be ready. Register at:

T-shirt Info:
Pre-claim your shirt by August 31st, 2025. After that, shirts are first come, first served—while supplies last.
Choose Your Data Collection Method:
Please register for either the paper data card or the Clean Swell app option.
Why Collect Data?
An important aspect of the International Coastal Cleanup is to tally up the types of trash that are collected. This helps track local and global trends in marine pollution so managers can target certain types of prevention and cleanup measures. We are asking you to tally the trash you collect as you go either using a paper data card or the Clean Swell App. We recommend assigning one member of your group to be the designated data collector to keep things clean and easy.
Looking forward to seeing you there for a cleaner Cedar Key!
