Saturday "BRU" Run

This is our main Saturday run, open to all paces with multiple distances available.

Our classic distance is 5.5 miles, with a shortcut of 3.5 miles. Many extensions exist to meet your goals.

The pre-run activities (names, photos) start at 8:04 am. Most of this run is on paved trails. We start with 1.5 miles of sidewalks running south on Bethany and west on Bronson, before turning right (north) on the powerline trail. We regroup at John Marty Park by the water fountain, where water is available (spring, summer, and fall). Everyone then continues north, turning right at the arch bridge or going straight toward Pirate Park, veering left to speed down the switchbacks.

The classic distance group will stop once more at the long bridge about a quarter mile before West Union. From there, the long bridge takes you across Laidlaw Rd. Back to the intersection with the arch bridge, thus crossing your track to make a figure 8.

The trail east of the arch bridge ends at a condo complex. Take a left and follow the road until it ends, then it's a right/left/right until you see where we started. Now we grab a snack or drink and hang out.
