About the event

Turkey Trot Dog Walk

Work off that Thanksgiving feast with your four-legged friend or meet a new one!

Bring your friendly dog along for a 1-mile walk along the shore of Joe Poole Lake. Interested in a Rescue? Tri-City Animal Shelter will be bringing some pups in need of a home for you to meet and walk!

When: Saturday, November 29th, 2025 from 10:00am to 12:00pm
Where: Shoreline Trailhead near the North Boat Ramp
Bring: Water, bags for dog poop, and a snack if you need one.
Wear: Good shoes for walking and dress for the weather!
Cost: Free with a $7 per person park entry fee or presentation of a Texas State Park Pass. Children 12 and under are free to enter the park.
