The Friends of the Cedar Falls Public Library invite the community to raise a glass to books and brews at the Get Lit Literary Pub Crawl, happening Tuesday, October 14 from 5:30–8:30 p.m.
The evening begins at the Cedar Falls Public Library and continues through seven downtown establishments — Patton Bar & Diner, Bar Winslow, Cup of Joe, The Ragged Edge, The OP, The Reader’s Cup, and Urban Pie — each featuring a book-themed beverage, available in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions.
Attendees are encouraged to dress as a literary character, with prizes awarded for Best Individual Costume and Best Group Costume Ensemble. A special drawing will be held for participants who visit 5 or more establishments.
Our guest judges are Kelly Stern, CFPL director; Mayor Danny Laudick, and Cory Hurless, the Cultural Programs Supervisor of the Hearst Center for the Arts.
Proceeds benefit library programs such as children’s storytime, summer reading, and community enrichment activities.
