Squalid Gold: Stand-up Comedy Showcase

Squalid Gold Comedy School was started by Lauren Kincheloe in 2021. Looking to make Kingston a funnier place, she set up a mic in the back of the Stockade Tavern and enrolled her first 8 students. As the culmination of this workshop, these students performed their sets for a small audience. And they crushed.

Five classes later, she has unleashed 40 new comics into the community, many of whom have continued to hone the craft. These brave people are your friends, your neighbors (maybe even your dentist!) and they are ready for the main stage.
