Diabetic Retinopathy Screenings

We're hosting an eye screening event for diabetic Columbia Memorial Health primary care patients on Friday, December 12, 2025 from 8 a.m.–4 p.m. at Prime Medical, suite D-107, in the Greene Medical Arts Building in Catskill.

Patients will be screened for diabetic retinopathy by diabetes educator Julie VanAlphen, RN, CDCES.

This event is open only to diabetic patients who see a primary care provider with Columbia Memorial Health. Patients may drive themselves to and from their appointment. Screenings will be performed on both eyes without dilation drops, after which images are sent to remote ophthalmologists to be interpreted, and a member of our team will call patients back with their results.

Each patient's insurance will be billed for their eye exam.
