Step into history with this lively solo set dance, dating back to the 18th century! Traditional Irish set pieces are fully-formed dances performed to specific tunes. They can be danced in a flat sliding style or on the balls of the feet, with a posture more relaxed than step dancing but more upright than sean-nós.
💲 Cost: $5 per class – pay at the door or online at www.bcartsguild.org
👞 Tip: Wear supportive shoes with a smooth, hard sole (not athletic shoes).

Kelly Smit has been teaching and performing Irish dance for over 15 years, learning from and sharing steps with dancers across the US and Ireland. You’ll often catch her dancing up a storm at Baltimore’s trad music sessions!
