Clay mug workshop

Ready to get your hands dirty (in the best way)? In this pottery class you’ll dive into the relaxing and playful world of hand-building - a technique that lets you shape clay entirely by hand. It’s a slower, more mindful process that’s perfect for beginners.

You’ll learn how to hand-build your very own unique coffee/tea mug using a technique called slab building. Over the course of two hours, we will experiment with texture and form so that you can craft a mug that is completely personal to you.

Our talented local potter Lisa will be there to guide you through the making process and will carefully fire your creations at her home studio and dip glaze each piece, which can be collected from The Caterham Crafts room within 3 weeks of the class.

Just wear clothes you don’t mind getting a bit dusty (clay dust washes out easily)!
