Castlemaine Seed Library and Growing Abundance (with Castlemaine Community House) invite you to start your Summer seeds at our community Seed-Sowing day.
Spring is here, and it’s time to start your Summer seedlings!
Tomatoes, beans, zucchini, pumpkins, basil, cucumbers, capsicum and chillis - plant them now, keep them indoors til the frosts are over, then plant them out.
Join us on Sunday 21st September at the Hub Garden for a community day sharing seeds, potting mix, expertise and morning tea and get your seedlings started.
When: Sunday, September 21st 9.30am-12.30pm
Where: The Hub Garden
What to bring (OPTIONAL): Seeds to share and plant seedling trays/pots, something to share for morning tea
We will provide: Seeds, potting mix and trays, and some morning tea
Although this is a FREE event donations to the Castlemaine Seed Library are encouraged and welcome.
We will be starting a One Seed One Community project growing the heirloom bean ‘Cupidon’, beans and growing guides will be available on the day.
Grow What When in Castlemaine posters will be available, with proceeds
supporting Growing Abundance.
The Hub Garden is fenced. Children are welcome. Support-dogs only.
