Blessing of the Animals

During the Annual Blessing of the Animals, we invite all companion animals to join their people at the 8:45 service in the church. Bring your animal… and invite a friend to bring theirs too! During this service, we will also have a place where you can place a photo of, light a candle or write the name, in memory of a pet that has died. If you’d like to come later, or feel your animal companion isn’t quite up to joining us during a service, we also offer a blessing on the front lawn of the church after our 10:45 service at 12 noon. This special event is held to mark the Feast of St. Francis. Francis is remembered for his great love for animals and the environment. By reflecting on his legacy, we are reminded of the beauty of the world we all share, and to care for the earth, our common home.
