Building Blocks with Paula
“Building Blocks” is a series of 12 fun patterns that will build your knitting skills. Starting with simple knit and purl stitches, your confidence will grow as you progress through several major knitting principles. Each block focuses on new stitches and techniques in a sequential fashion that “builds” upon the previously learned skill.
At the end of the series, the knitter is rewarded with an abundance of knitting know-how and 12 beautiful squares to assemble into a sampler afghan, baby blanket, pillows or anything limited only by your imagination

Instructor Bio:
Paula learned to knit in high school through 4-H. After college and two children, Paula picked up knitting again and she became completely obsessed and couldn’t imagine life without it. Her love of knitting and desire to learn new techniques has allowed Paula to challenge herself daily. She started teaching knitting classes in 2015 at a local yarn shop. Paula enjoys teaching about sweaters, lace, felting, colorwork, and beginning knitting projects. Paula has found that reading patterns with mysterious symbols, charts, and abbreviations is intimidating for new knitters. She has made it her mission to help others become confident and skilled knitters so they can pick up a pattern on their own, get started, and fix their mistakes along the way. She finds it rewarding to see relationships and camaraderie that develop among her students and believes that knitting is one of the universal languages that bring all people together. Paula is the founder of chickswithsticksknit.com and also hosts the Chicks with Sticks Knitting
Club.
