Field Trip Near Alcova 11/23/25
Location: Locations on BLM land near Alcova lake
Meetup: CY Walmart West parking lot near Fit 24
Time: Departing 8:15 am MT. Returning in late afternoon. Do not have to stay until the end.

Goal: Banded Iron, Selenite, Aventurine, Fossils, Agates, Memories, and more!
You do not have to be a club member to attend.
We will be meeting at the parking lot and then departing to locations near Alcova. I have maps on my phone that we will cover at the Meetup. I will lead the trip and will answer any questions.
We will be going to some locations that are on improved roads and the final location is either a bit of walking or some 4wheel drive with clearance.
It is Wyoming high desert terrain in November so dress and prepare appropriately.
We will be surface collecting and there will be ample opportunity for pictures and exploration.
This would be appropriate for children and folks with some mobility challenges also.
I will be in "Smoke" my grey rock hounding vehicle.
I will bring some basic tools and some examples.
Please comment and let me know if you are coming or have any questions.
Recommended: Good footwear, water, tp, hand tools, lunch, headphones, rain/snow wear, gloves, hat, small pack, camera, walking stick, snacks.
