Wander through the shaded trails of Edward Baker Preserve as we search for mushrooms and other fungi, learning about their vital role in forest ecosystems. From colorful caps to intricate mycelium networks, you’ll discover just how much life thrives beneath the surface of the forest floor. Whether you're a curious beginner or a seasoned mushroom enthusiast, this hike offers something for everyone.
Hike: 2 miles round trip, considered easy to moderate.
What to Bring: Water, comfortable hiking shoes, a rain jacket and curiosity! Optional: field guides, hand lens, and a camera.
