The Narrow Gauge and the Telegraph presented by Dave Mehrl

This presentation explores the historical development of telegraphy, which began in the Victorian era (mid 1850’s). We also discuss Samuel Morse’s key contributions, such as development the American Morse Code itself, as well as key hardware developments that made telegraph networks practical. We also discuss the importance of railroads and the importance of the Narrow Gauge!
