Join Us for a Day of Unity and Remembrance
The National Day of Service encourages community members to show unity and kindness in tribute and remembrance of the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, at the North and South Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, and the open field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
Participants will meet at 7:30 a.m. at Carr McNatt Park for the opening ceremonies. After the opening ceremonies, attendees are encouraged to participate in a variety of volunteer projects, which include painting park restrooms, park ramadas, restrooms at Palm Island Family Aquatic Park, trash pick-up in alleys, and much more.
