CWEP is celebrating Public Power Week, Oct. 5th - 11th, along with more than 2,000 other community-owned, not-for-profit electric utilities that collectively provide electricity to 49 million Americans. Public Power Week celebrates the reliable, affordable electricity CWEP provides to our community. Public power puts the people of Carthage first, and Public Power Week gives us the chance to emphasize the advantages of locally owned power to our families & friends. We invite the Carthage community to help us celebrate!
We invite the Carthage community to participate in a variety of Public Power Week events. 𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗘𝗦 𝗜𝗡𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗗𝗘:
👉 𝗖𝗪𝗘𝗣 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗮 – 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆-𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 (𝗢𝗰𝘁. 𝟲𝘁𝗵-𝟭𝟬𝘁𝗵)- Engage with us by answering daily CWEP historical trivia questions on our Facebook page (@cwep.carthagemo), the first correct answer wins a prize from a local vendor. (Must be a CWEP customer to win.)
👉 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 – 𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, (𝗢𝗰𝘁. 𝟳𝘁𝗵) 𝗮𝘁 𝟭𝟬𝗮𝗺 & 𝟲𝗽𝗺, CWEP will be hosting tours of our historic power plant (300 S. River St.) Join us & learn about how CWEP powers our Carthage community! 👉 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 - CWEP is hosting a district wide coloring contest with the Carthage R-9 Elementary schools, grades k-3. Entries will be judged, and one winner will be chosen from each grade at each school. Winners will be presented prizes, and all winning artworks will be displayed throughout Public Power Week in the CWEP lobby as well as posted to our website (www.cwep.com) for the community to enjoy!
