All creatures, great and small, are invited to join us for our annual Blessing of the Animals at the Church of the Ascension! Bring your pets—or even a photo of your beloved animal companions—for a joyful morning of thanksgiving and blessing.
This year, we’re envisioning the blessing as a community-wide celebration of God’s creatures:
🐾 Decor & Atmosphere: Paw-print pathways, colorful outdoor banners, and even a special appearance from Scout (our VBS mascot).
🐶 Pet Stations: Water bowls, shaded resting spots, and treat tables for our furry friends.
📸 Photo Booth: Capture the moment with your pet at our animal-themed photo booth.
🙏 Spiritual Touch: Prayer cards for pets and their owners.
🐕 Community Partnerships: Local shelters, rescues, and vets will share resources, offer adoption opportunities, and accept donations of pet food for the Red Door Food Pantry.
🐾 Local Businesses: Pet supply shops and groomers will join us with treats, tips, and giveaways.
Bring your pets, your family, and your neighbors for this fun, festive, and meaningful celebration of the special bond between humans and animals.
