"Type High" Type Slam - Sat, Sept 13, 2025

Celebrate National Letterpress Day at the Printing Museum!

In this half-day workshop, you will learn some history of letterpress printing, select wood type and cuts, then ink and print your message. For this special "Type High" workshop, students are invited to print custom posters using the Museum's extensive collection of common and unusual wood type!

National Letterpress Day is celebrated on Sept. 18 (9/18), since it is traditionally tied to the height of a letter in a press (.918).

At the end of the class there will be a print exchange, in which you will take away a portfolio of prints made during the workshop. This workshop is hands-on and very active. All levels welcome!
