This Saturday, Coin Press No. 1 is minting the Pony Express Commemorative Medallion, celebrating the legacy of the legendary mail service that galloped through Nevada from 1860-61. Featuring the Pony Express horse and rider design framed by the state of Nevada on the obverse and Coin Press No. 1 with the famous CC mint mark on the reverse, this half-ounce medallion is minted from .999 fine silver, encased in a protective air-tight capsule and displayed in decorative matting.
