Autumn & Winter Plant Propagation: Saturday 25th October 2025

Learn techniques to produce plants for gardens and allotments, with enough left over to share with friends. Plant propagation uses logical and explainable techniques which, when understood and practiced, become simple, easy and even addictive!

This one-day practical workshop covers a range of techniques that can be undertaken throughout the shorter days of autumn and winter, some of which may be unfamiliar even to seasoned propagators. You’ll learn about:

Hardwood cuttings
Leaf cuttings
Root cuttings
Air layering
Seed sowing including chipping and vernalisation
With lots of information and a range of propagated plants to take home, this workshop will be of interest to new and experienced gardeners alike.
