This training is presented by Small Talk Children’s Advocacy Center and will be especially beneficial to those parenting children that are victims of sexual abuse or severe trauma. This training will discuss the following:
-Common Trauma symptoms & reminders
-Coping Skills
-Safety Skills: Online safety and body safety
-Neurosequential model: a neurobiology approach to managing trauma symptoms
-Relationship thoughts, feelings, and behavior & how they influence one another
-Skills for foster parents to have conversations with teachers/daycare/other adults about their child’s history and behaviors
