Join Mary (pre/postnatal yoga teacher and certified pre/postnatal corrective exercise specialist) for a 3-hour workshop on how birth impacts your pelvic floor, and how yoga can help.
We’ll begin with a discussion covering why your pelvic floor is important, what happens during pregnancy and birth, and what you can do afterward to prevent or heal common issues such as prolapse, leaking, constipation, and hip or lower back pain. The discussion will include time for Q+A so you can bring your own questions.
After a short break for snacks and the bathroom, we’ll close with a yoga practice designed to restore balance in your pelvic floor.
This workshop is for you if:
-you’re currently pregnant or planning a pregnancy
-you’ve been pregnant before
-you’re newly postpartum
-you’ve given birth (doesn't matter when)
-you’ve had a Cesarean
-you gave birth vaginally
-you have symptoms of pelvic dysfunction (leaking, constipation, painful sex, prolapse, hip pain)
-you want to know how to maintain a healthy pelvic floor
