About the event

Farm Tour: Exploring the Organic Path
Grow with confidence alongside a community rooted in shared purpose and passion for sustainable agriculture.

About this Event

In the heart of the stunning Snoqualmie Valley, tour rows of verdant veggies and cover crops while exploring how organic methods build healthy soil and support life above and below ground, no matter your growing scale.

Guided by Oxbow Agriculture Program Manager Anthony Reyes, this experience offers more than just a walk through the fields and high tunnels. It’s a chance to learn practical, regenerative practices while rediscovering your relationship with the soil, the food system, and the web of life we all share. Whether you’re a curious gardener or a experienced farmer, you’ll leave feeling more connected, capable, and inspired.

You'll experience:
  • Organic Practices in Action – Learn how Oxbow uses strategic crop rotation, cover crops, and field rest periods to build nutrient-rich soil and manage weeds and pests naturally.
  • Soil Health Strategies – Understand the “why” and “how” behind practices that build fertility and resilience from the ground up.
  • Hands-On Learning – See, touch, and walk through the systems with a guide who shares both successes and honest, hard-earned lessons.
  • Peer Connection – Share ideas, challenges, and support with others committed to organic and regenerative growing.

About your Guide:

Anthony Reyes brings over 16 years of experience at the intersection of food, agriculture, and social justice, having worked with nonprofit farms across the West Coast. He was honored as WaSHI’s 2024 Producer of the Year, recognized for his community-rooted leadership in soil health and organic practices.

Anthony serves as a Transition to Organic Partnership Program (TOPP) mentor, supporting farmers across the region in their shift to certified organic growing. He’s the author of the Fertility Guide Companion and a frequent guest lecturer at seminars and conferences, including the Organic Farm School.

At Oxbow, we’re proud to celebrate Anthony not just for his accolades, but for the grounded, reciprocity-centered philosophy he brings into his practice every day. And honestly, we can’t get enough of his joyful tangents into topics including biomass and lignin content. His curiosity is contagious.
