Naturalist-Guided Hike

Join us for a hike through a native forest in Bill Huestis Park in Kent. Led by local naturalists Bill Buck and Patty Butter, this will be an exceptional opportunity to observe and learn about local plants and animals. We’ll be passing through boulder fields, thickets of mountain laurel, and fields of ferns and lichen. Trails are rocky and rooted in many places, with some seasonal streams, so please wear footwear with good ankle support.

Difficulty level: Moderate
Length: Approximately 2.25 miles
What to bring: Wear sturdy shoes or hiking boots. Bring an extra layer of clothing and water. If rain is in the forecast, bring a rain jacket. If weather is extreme, we’ll contact all registrants to postpone.
