The Carlton-Cook-Lake-St. Louis Community Health Board is partnering with The Fond du Lac Human Resources Division, an entity of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, to provide a facilitated panel discussion around trauma-informed approaches (TIA). This event will answer questions such as what is trauma, what are trauma-informed approaches (TIA), provide examples of how to get started with TIA, as well as networking among peers. The event will be geared towards public health professionals, social workers, licensed alcohol and drug counselors, and others interested in trauma-informed approaches. This event will go beyond defining trauma and discuss ways we can put TIA into action. The panel will provide public health practioner, mind body connection, and Indigenous perspectives. Walk-in registrations will be limited.
