🌹MERYL STREEK🌹
The Irish punk producer and icon of the Dublin Underground is playing The Brickyard in Carlisle as part of his 2026 tour on Friday 30th January.
Meryl Streek’s clash of experimental electronica and explosive punk has had a huge impact on the alternative music scene as of late. In 2022, armed with just a microphone and a laptop, the Dublin based producer went from playing local squats to performing live at Kentish Town Forum, London, supporting Public Image Ltd.
Since then, Meryl Streek has released two albums. The latest being produced by Dan Doherty from Fontaines D.C. ‘Songs for the Deceased’ has been cited by Metal Hammer as one of the ten best punk albums of the last decade.
Meryl also invites guest musicians to collaborate on his music, including Benefits’ Kingsley Hall, A Place To Bury Strangers guitarist Oliver Ackermann and even Carlisle born Cal Graham from punk band The Chisel.
Meryl Streek has also shared tours with Kneecap, Pop Will Eat Itself, Dead Kennedys, Bob Vylan and Enter Shikari to mention a few.
Politically charged and sonically vibrant, Meryl Streek doesn’t just make statements about his home country of Ireland, but also raises a call to arms around the world and very much needed in this current climate.
Le Cauchemar Promotions & Dev Bros. Promotions have teamed up to ensure that this show is definitely not one to be missed and is bound to go down into The Brickyard’s history as one of those “I was there” moments.
Local support will open in the form of NUISANCE TO THE NEIGHBOURS with Sunderland favourites DEAD WET THINGS returning back to The Brickyard for seconds.
⏰Doors are at 19:30.
Tickets are on sale now via Fatsoma or The Brickyard’s website for £15 + booking fee
