Begin the day with an introduction to tool maintenance before delving into the best practices for growing, harvesting, storing, and savoring hearty cool-season crops such as squash, kale, pumpkins, and root vegetables. Enjoy a guided tour of the Allen Road vegetable gardens and composting demonstration area, then put your creativity to work by crafting your own gourd birdhouse to take home. All supplies are provided.
