Cooking With Fire!

To finish up our Findlay Foundry exhibit in fine style, we are welcoming Lianne van Leyen to the Museum!

Lianne van Leyen is a domestic interpreter and historic cook at Upper Canada Village where she specializes in historic cooking.

Lianne will talk about how she prepares and serves meals and desserts using 1860s period correct recipes and will discuss the methods of cooking in an open hearth or using a step wood cook stove.

This will be an entertaining afternoon where you will discover 1860s recipes and techniques and sample some goodies!

Presentations will take place at noon and again at 2 pm.
