5Point Film Presents: SUCK with Paddy O’Connell
An Evening of Beginnerism, Storytelling, and Unapologetic Humor
On Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 7–9 PM, join us at the Crystal Theatre for an unforgettable evening with Paddy O’Connell — writer, podcaster, and professional enthusiast of trying (and failing) at new things.
PaddyO will take us deep into the world of adult beginnerism: why we so often talk ourselves out of starting, what unfolds when we finally try, and the joy (and comedy) that comes from sucking at something new. From ultrarunning to kayaking, it’s a raw and hilarious celebration of curiosity, courage, and falling flat on your face — all in the name of growth.
This is a night about more than laughs. At 5Point, we believe that stepping into discomfort is one of the purest practices of adventure. Paddy’s story reminds us that failure is not the opposite of success, but the pathway to it.
After the show, stick around for a lively Q&A and our “Try Hard” Auction, with all proceeds benefiting 5Point Film’s mission to build community and inspire change through adventure storytelling. Then keep the evening rolling at El Dorado, with live music, local pours, and plenty of room to celebrate sucking — together.
