Just Add Friends: A Dinner Party Cooking Class

Ever wish hosting a dinner party felt a little less stressful — and a lot more fun? Just Add Friends is your invitation to learn how to pull off a cozy crowd-pleasing evening right at home. The Rooted in Foods team will show you how to create the kind of dinner party everyone wants to be invited to — all you’ll need to add are your friends!

In this demonstration cooking class, you’ll learn how to prepare a rustic Italian menu that’s ideal for sharing. Upon arrival savor a colorful antipasto platter as you meet new friends. 

We’ll start the class with a demonstration of how to make a refreshing Aperol Spritz. For those who wish to try the cocktail they will be available for purchase at the bar. 

As you settle in with your drink we’ll serve the main course - a comforting chicken marsala with buttery pasta and vegetable side served with crusty Italian bread for dipping in olive oil mixed with herbs.

While you enjoy dinner, you will learn how to make this dish at home for your guests.  

Not everything has to be made from scratch! Our dessert is a bright lemon parfait made with shortbread cookies, lemon curd, and vanilla bean whipped cream. We’ll show you how to make your own whipped cream for a touch of homemade sweetness.

You’ll experience the meal as a dinner party guest — eating laughing and learning along the way. You’ll go home with all the recipes, menu card ideas, and a small party favor to inspire your next gathering. Alcohol will be available for purchase to guests 21+ (please bring valid ID and drink responsibly). Event photos may be used for promotional purposes unless you request otherwise. If the event is canceled or rescheduled by the host, attendees will receive credit toward a future class.
