Recommendations for before the class:

• Refrain from alcohol and other substances leading up to the session and for at least 24 hours after if possible.
• Wear comfortable clothing and bring layers in case you need to warm up.
• Please avoid caffeine on the morning of your session.
• You may choose to fast before the journey or eat a light, nourishing meal 2-3 hours beforehand.
• Bring a journal if you wish, as you may find it helpful to write down details of your experience while it still feels fresh.
• An eye mask may help deepen your experience.
• Plan to take things slowly following the session and give yourself adequate time to process your experience. There is some time set aside at the end of the event to allow for shares and a gentle transition back from the journey.

Samira Ghassemian is a spiritual hypnotherapy practitioner and student of shamanic medicine in the Shipibo tradition.

What began as a quest to heal herself from a lifelong struggle with mental health issues and the lasting effects of trauma developed into a deep commitment to her soul’s mission to assist and guide others along the path of healing, reclamation, and awakening.

Working within a trauma informed lens, she is passionate about bringing together elements from her diverse background of studies, including Reiki, hypnotherapy, somatics, and plant medicine, to create a holistic approach that supports the unique needs of each individual and helps restore balance and harmony of the mind, body, heart, and spirit.
