Cyber Hygiene: Senior Edition

As part of National Cyber Awareness Month, OQP is hosting a Cyber Hygiene workshop this session designed specifically for senior citizens who want to stay safe and confident online. With the rise of AI-driven scams, fraudsters are using new technologies—like voice cloning, deepfakes, and AI-generated phishing messages—to deceive individuals more convincingly than ever before.

This hands-on session will equip seniors with practical cybersecurity habits and demonstrate easy ways to protect their digital identity, finances, and personal information. *MUST HAVE A SMART DEVICE FOR WORKSHOP

Participants will:

1. Understand today’s top AI scam tactics — including fake voice calls, impersonation scams, and AI-generated phishing emails.
2. Recognize red flags in digital communication — how to spot suspicious links, messages, and requests for personal data.
3. Learn the importance of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and how it adds an extra layer of protection.
4. Participate in an MFA setup workshop — guided step-by-step instructions to enable MFA on email, banking, and social media accounts (participants must bring a smart device).
5. Adopt daily “cyber hygiene” habits — simple routines like software updates, password management, and safe browsing to reduce digital risk.
