Join us in the magnificent Otways for a weekend of celebration and connection. Twenty years ago, thanks to the advocacy, dedication and passion from forest defenders, the tall giants of the Otways were protected, and the Great Otway National Park was created.
Over two days, join The Wilderness Society and For Wild Places as we spend time reflecting on what was won, what was lost, and all that there is to gain from these majestic, unique and inspiring ecosystems. Over two days, we will enjoy bushwalks, listen to protest stories by the fire, learn from ecologists and appreciate together what has been protected.
Join us for a relaxed, fulfilling weekend that will ease your eco-grief, and inspire you to keep fighting for the incredible life forces that are our forests. Tickets from $260pp.
🥾 Schedule:
Friday: Arrive at your own leisure, optional movie screening from 7.30pm
Saturday: Welcome to Country, Stories from the Frontline, Long Bushwalk, presentation from the Conservation Ecology Centre
Sunday: Citizen science activity, ocean swim, campaigning 101, travel home
🏕️ Accommodation Options:
All accommodation is at Bimbi Park
Camping - BYO camping gear, and find a spot amongst the eucalyptus. Communal bathrooms
Shared Room - Bunk or double bed (couples) in a 2-bedroom, self-contained cabin with private bathroom. Suitable for 1 adult.
Private Room* - Bunk or double bed in 2 2-bedroom, self-contained cabin with a private bathroom. Suitable for 1-2 adults.
Private Cabin* - 2 bunks and 1 double in a self-contained cabin with private bathroom. Suitable for 3-4 adults.
All meals will be provided, with vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free options. Please BYO any additional snacks and refreshments (including alcohol).
You are responsible for your travel arrangements. We can support people with carpooling.
