Help our Outreach and Education Coordinator create an enchanted forest faerie ring for this year’s Festival of Frights Trunk or Treat event!
We’ll be crafting paper mushrooms out of recycled materials. If you have any paper recyclables you’d like to contribute to this project, please reach out to
bmRlbnNtb3JlIHwgeW9ya21haW5lICEgb3Jn or bring them with you to use when you come!
Items we can use (MUST be clean and dry):
- Any paper (brown paper, newspaper, tissue paper, wrapping paper, etc.)
- Toilet paper or paper towel tubes
- Cardboard cylindrical containers (like the ones used for oatmeal or other dry goods)
- Paper bowls
Please no cardboard/paperboard materials other than what’s specifically listed above.
Drop in from 2-6 PM upstairs in the Lodge. October 16th and 17th will likely be spent crafting the mushrooms themselves and October 22nd will be our primary painting and decorating day. If you want to take home a mushroom you’ve painted, they can be picked up AFTER October 25th.
Please note that we’ll have a hard stop time of 6 PM, so please plan to show up by 5:45 to allow plenty of time to craft or paint. Thanks for understanding! This is a FREE program. All ages welcome, but children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the activity.
