The Bell Holder Wreck:
Originally named Ruth's Barge, archived documents and a detailed site plan created by a team of scuba divers pointed to the wreck's real name and history.

I have led and participated in dozens of archaeological expeditions in New Jersey and the surrounding region for more than 30 years mapping shipwrecks. My enthusiasm for local maritime history allows me to identify shipwrecks in NJ waters. I hold a PADI Divemaster rating and have logged nearly 2,400 dives since 1974.
