We warmly invite you to join us for an upcoming Holocaust and Human Rights Center of Maine program at the Thomas Memorial Library in Cape Elizabeth. We wpuld be delighted for you to see our work in action and be part of the conversation.
We’ll be presenting Dismantling Democracy: 53 Days in Nazi Germany, a one-hour presentation and Q&A that explores how Hitler and the Nazi Party rose to power and, once in office, legally dismantled Germany’s democratic system. The talk and accompanying slideshow draws on primary sources and historical context to reveal the fragility of democratic institutions.
Executive Director Tam Huynh will begin the evening with a brief introduction, followed by the presentation led by colleague and Holocaust Scholar Erica Nadelhaft. Erica will facilitate the Q&A following the program, creating space for thoughtful dialogue and reflection focused on this pivotal moment in history. We believe you will find it engaging and meaningful.
