Canton Fire Department Open House
The Canton Fire Department is pleased to announce its annual Open House in recognition of Fire Prevention Week. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, October 11, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., at Fire Station #1, 1100 S. Canton Center Road.
This free, family-friendly event is designed to educate the community about fire safety while offering an inside look at the daily operations of the Canton Fire Department. No registration is required. Light refreshment and giveaways will be available.
Event Highlights:
Station Tours: Step inside the fire station, view firefighting equipment, and learn how our team works to keep Canton safe.
Fire Vehicle Displays: Explore a variety of emergency vehicles, from ambulances to ladder trucks, and take photos with your favorite fire engine.
Fire Safety Demonstrations: Learn essential fire safety tips, such as “Stop, Drop and Roll”, through live demonstrations by our experienced firefighters.
Meet the Firefighters: Meet the men and women who serve our community and hear firsthand about their experiences and the importance of fire safety.
Kids’ Activities: Enjoy fun, educational activities for children, including trying on fire gear, a scavenger hunt, and exploring the Fire Safety House.
The Open House is being held in conjunction with National Fire Prevention Week (October 5-11), which this year highlights the theme: “Charge into Fire Safety: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home!”
