All-age Service for Advent Sunday

Please join us for Advent Sunday, marking four weeks before Christmas, traditionally a season of anticipation, watching and waiting. As we anticipate the great celebrations of Christmas in the birth of a saviour, so it is also a time for the church to be watching and waiting for Jesus to return as Lord and judge and King.

Our Bible teaching for these next four weeks is called ‘Christmas is Coming’ and will be from the first chapter in Luke, which tells us of the events leading up to that first Christmas. In this first section we hear the announcement of a first miracle baby, not Jesus, but John! The news is given to his parents, Zechariah and Elizabeth, and comes as a great surprise!

Our 10.30am service will be an all-age service today, so children and young people will remain in the service throughout for a shorter service than normal. Refreshments will be served afterwards, followed by our Christmas Fair in the church centre, please do stay if you can.
