Annabel Griffin is a corporate and commercial partner at King & Wood Mallesons in its Canberra office. She is head of the firm’s Government sector and acts on a range of complex tech and governance projects for both private sector and Commonwealth clients. She is heavily involved in the innovation system in the ACT, including through acting for AI companies and through her role on the Canberra Innovation Network advisory board. KWM is leaning heavily into gen AI tools through its early adoption of KWM’s version of Open AI and the legal AI tool, Harvey.
Scott Chamberlain researches and teaches in the areas of blockchain, smart contracts, and legal innovation. He has also taught employment law, contracts, and legal skills. Scott has been a solicitor since 1992 and has practical experience of innovation in the delivery of legal services. Scott has experience in developing and prosecuting public policy, having been a national lobbyist for the Housing Industry Association, a member of the Business Advisory Group for the Fair Work Act, and Independent Chair of the Safe Rates Advisory Group, which saw the establishment of the Road Safety Remuneration Tribunal. Scott is a co-founder of two blockchain projects, Evernode DePIN and the Xahau Network. He is a regular presenter at national and international conferences on blockchain and smart contracts. He has given evidence before the Australian Senate on Australia's regulation of blockchains cryptocurrencies smart contracts.
