We’re delighted to invite you to FlutterByBQ, a thoughtfully curated outdoor gathering that brings together music, food, nature, and community in a relaxed and welcoming setting.
FlutterByBQ – Beats & Eats is all about slowing down, connecting, and enjoying the simple pleasures done well. Expect a vibrant yet easy-going atmosphere where talented DJs provide the soundtrack, the BBQ is ready to go, and nature sets the scene — complete with greenery, open space, and fluttering wings.
✨ When – The inaugural event is Saturday 24 Jan, from noon ‘til 7pm
✨ Cost – It’s free 😊 (although you’re welcome to make a donation)
🌿 Location
The location is only a few minutes from Canberra city, near the lake, with plenty of free parking, and toilets nearby. Exact location details will be shared the morning of the event.
This is a space designed to be inclusive and family-friendly, where adults can enjoy great music and conversation, kids can play and explore in the background, and everyone can feel comfortable. Whether you’re dancing, lounging, chatting with friends, or simply soaking up the vibe, FlutterByBQ invites you to enjoy the day at your own pace.
✨ Food & BBQ
The BBQ will be fired up and ready — we will be cooking some homemade burgers, but please feel free to bring your own food to cook and enjoy. This shared approach keeps things relaxed and flexible, allowing everyone to cook what they love while enjoying the collective atmosphere of a community barbecue.
We will provide some fridges to keep your food and drinks cool
✨ What to expect:
🎶 A carefully selected lineup of DJs delivering feel-good beats for dancing or just relaxing, and a nice PA system with plenty of bass
🔥 A shared BBQ space — There will be some BBQ food available, or bring your own food to cook on the BBQ or share
🌼 A relaxed outdoor setting near Canberra, surrounded by nature
💛 A warm, welcoming crowd and positive energy
FlutterByBQ isn’t about rushing or overstimulation — it’s about balance. Beats that lift the mood, food that brings people together, and an environment that encourages genuine connection.
We’d love for you to join us, bring your favourite BBQ treats or a picnic, and share in a beautiful afternoon of music, connection, and good vibes.
