🍄Create your own amazing fungi illustrations in watercolour with Anna Voytsekhovich!

Days/Times: Saturday 10.00am - 11.30pm
Online tutorial: Participants will receive a Zoom invitation with login details prior to the workshop.
About the workshop:
Anna will explain the diversity, origin, ecology and morphology of different fungi. Then she will give a few examples of different textures and explain how to paint them in watercolour. Students will learn how to produce an initial drawing of an object, how to scale it, what to include in composition, and then learn how to transfer it on paper and produce a beautiful realistic portrait of a fungus.
After the tutorial all students will be asked to produce a finished watercolour painting of any fungus using the techniques they learned during the tutorial. They will have 3 weeks to finish their homework and send it to the tutor for feedback.
Learning Outcomes:
– learn new and interesting facts about fungi, their diversity, ecology and morphology.
– see examples of different watercolour painting techniques
– learn the secrets of painting different realistic textures in watercolour.
– learn the difference between various art styles and the requirements to produce different types of illustration in watercolour
– learn how to produce a beautiful realistic portrait of fungi. moths and butterflies
Level of Experience: This workshop is suitable for beginners to intermediate level students with some drawing and watercolour experience.
