Applied research requires successful partnership with industry and community, but we often struggle to build the kind of relationships needed to generate long term impact. This workshop is designed with your practical partnership challenges in mind. Whether you are contemplating a new partnership or you are years into a research relationship - this session will build on your experience and offer strategies to increase your effectiveness.
The session introduces and applies a series of key skills that underpin successful relationship building to produce powerful research partnerships. It will explore:
This training has been co-designed with Sydney Health Partners, the Charles Perkins Centre Implementation Hub and its team of Early and Mid Career Researchers, and supported by a Community Methods specialist. It will illustrate key relationship-building skills through case studies. The session will provide space for you to apply the concepts to your existing partnership plans, to share lessons about partnership that others can learn from and to ask for assistance and strategies to unpack dilemmas that are arising in your existing partnerships
