Understanding and managing binge eating in those living with overweight, obesity and T2 Diabetes
Brief Bio:
Gemma is an Associate Professor in Behavioural Medicine at the University of Leeds (UK) and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Authority (SFHEA). She is a Chartered Psychologist (C.Psychol) of the British Psychological Society. Her research interests focus on understanding the experiences of disordered eating in weight management and in particular T2 diabetes. Then developing and evaluating brief psychological interventions to address these issues, through co-design. Gemma was the Chief Investigator of the POSE-D study, a Diabetes-UK funded study - adapting an online intervention for the management of binge eating in adults with Type 2 diabetes.
