Hello everyone and welcome to the Island Vanlife Meetup #8
*********************************************************************
Registration: To register for this event, please select "Going" on the Facebook Invite, and then send a Personal Message (PM) to the Vanlife Vancouver Island group Facebook Page to confirm your attendance and secure a spot.
We have a maximum capacity of 50 to 60 vehicles for the Group Campsite (Campground Regulations). Any additional vehicles/participants are still welcome to attend by putting themselves on a waitlist for last minute dropouts, or by booking an individual campsite at the campground.
*********************************************************************
This is a completely free event and no fee is required. But for those who can afford it, we do encourage you to provide a donation of $20 to $30. All proceeds will be go towards three outcomes including: 1) assisting with the cost of renting the group campsite and 2) savings towards the next Island Vanlife Meeting (September 2025).
These meetups will be occurring approximately every 4 months. All vehicle types and modes of living on the road area welcome.
This event is a chance to bring the community of those who enjoy life on the road together to enjoy a weekend of campfires, sharing food, stories and tips for life on the road.
The event will be located at the Strathcona Provincial Park Driftwood Bay Group Campground (see the links below)

We have rented the very large Group Campground (G1) for 2 nights. Photos of the site are provided in the discussion.
The event will begin at 1pm on Monday (8th) and ends at 10:30am sharp on Wednesday (10th).
In and around the provincial park, there are endless opportunities for walks, activities, hiking, time on the beach, etc.
Facilities at the group campsite include picnic shelter, picnic tables, pit toilets and fresh water.
A light schedule for the event is currently in the works and will be posted soon. For the entire event, there will be a group gathering area and fire pit (propane fire if the fire ban is still in place) where everyone can congregate at anytime, in the morning, afternoons and evenings.
