Bird Woodcarving for Kids

Over the course of this 5 week class, students will learn the basics of using a rotary carving tool to create their very own Puffin bird made of wood. Students will learn step by step carving and painting techniques (acrylics) to create a silhouette style Puffin. Students will then mount the bird on a wood dowel and a base of their choice. All materials supplied. Students will get to keep their project when finished. A fantastic introduction to wood carving for kids ages 11 to 18, as rotary tools are a safe, affordable and versatile way to create various art with wood.
