Christian fathers are commanded to teach, to train, and to raise up their kids to know, love, and follow Jesus (Deut. 6:4-7; Prov. 22:6; Matt. 28:18-20; Eph. 6:4) - just like they bear the weight of teaching, training, and raising up their children up to be responsible adults.
You’ve probably heard the saying, “Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.” This is literally and spiritually the plan for our fathers and sons at Farlow Farms, Saturday, September 6th. There will be hours for fishing, roasting hot dogs, a time for devotion, and s’mores. The lures, tackle, and food will all be provided.

You don’t have to be a father to attend. All you need to be is to be a man with a fishing pole who wants to teach young men to fish.
