Party Like It’s December 31 is a free family-friendly event which will feature video gaming, traditional party games, and table top gaming and is being hosted by the unofficial Steve Byers Fan Club. The event is a celebration of actor Steve Byers’s birthday which is actually on New Year’s Eve. Byers, however, will NOT be present.
We are collecting dog and cat food to donate to the Kat & K9 Pet Food Pantry in Sunrise Beach. The event is free however please bring an item to donate to this worthy cause.
There will be a costume contest for people dressed like Steve Byers’s characters!
This is a fan event and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Byers.
The party will be photographed and taped, and pictures and video will be posted online through various social media. Attend attending the party implies consent to the photography.

Free Fun Event for All Ages– Party Like It’s December 31
(Camdenton, MO)— Locals of all ages have a chance to enjoy gaming, support a great cause, delicious cake and other food (while supplies last) and celebrate a rather unusual event at
the upcoming community party at LOZ gaming in Camdenton. The celebration, entitled “Party Like It’s December 31” will actually be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to
2:00 p.m.
Party Like It’s December 31 is a free family-friendly event which will feature video gaming, traditional party games, and table top gaming. The event is a celebration of actor Steve Byers’s birthday which is actually on New Year’s Eve. Byers, however, will NOT be present.
This is a fan event and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Byers.
“Steve Byers is known, among other things, for his portrayal of several video game characters and is widely popular for his diverse acting roles in both horror shows as well as Christmas movies,” stated Eve Williams, LOZ gamer and fan of Steve Byers.
The unofficial Steve Byers Fan Club approached LOZ Gaming with the idea of a birthday party to film and later show on social media. The group was thrilled with the enthusiastic response.
“LOZ Gaming seemed to understand that the actor and the group are a natural fit since Byers not only acts in games but is also known to enjoy both online gaming and playing
Dungeons and Dragons himself. LOZ has generously offered to open their doors at a special time for the event and has even decided to waive the admission fees in favor of attendees supporting the pet food pantry at Kat and K9 Animal Shelter in Sunrise Beach.”
The Kat and K9 shelter helps pet owners who are facing hard times by providing free pet food and cleaning supplies. All items collected by event participants will be donated to the Kat and K9 pet food pantry by LOZ Gaming and the unofficial Steve Byers Fan Club in honor of the actor’s birthday.
While Byers is in no way associated with the event and will not be present during the party, he is well-known as an advocate of animal shelters and animal adoption. The unofficial fan club feels this is an ideal way to honor him for his birthday.
Attendees can choose to participate in the costume contest by dressing as any of Byers’s characters, most notably Nick Rye from Far Cry 5, Cam Henry and the Executioner from Slasher, etc.
Since Byers is a fan of dragons, dogs, DND, and is known for roles in zombie movies as well as video games, both table top games and video games related to these interests will be available for attendees to play, along with the usual party games.
It is important to note that videos and photos will be taken at the event. Attendance implies consent to having photos and videos placed on the internet through Instagram and/or other platforms and means online.
There will be a life-size cardboard cutout of Steve Byers that fans can have their photo taken with, a dog coloring contest for younger kids, and other party games.
