Come get your hands on some dough and learn the Farm Girl's Six Easy Steps to Sourdough Bread. Students in this class will learn how to maintain their starter, a basic recipe for classic chewy & crusty sourdough bread, a simple shaping technique, and two different methods for baking their bread. Be prepared to get dough-y hands as we will be actually working through every step of the process to produce homemade bread.
After we mix our dough, we will snack on fresh baked bread while we discuss what we've learned.
We will

•shape, score, and bake
You will take home
•1/2 loaf of bread that we bake in class
•a strong starter that you can use to continue baking
•2 balls of dough to bake over the next few days
•a bowl for cold proofing
•optional sourdough tool kits available for $35
Please bring a large mixing bowl (with a lid if it has one) and a pen for taking notes.
