Concurrent Tenant Organizing Workshop - Whose Agenda? Taking the Lead from Tenant Movements [Moderator: NJ Legal Design Lab]
How might legal institutions and professionals shift power into tenant-led movements for housing justice? Panelists will share insights from their efforts to co-create tenant resources, democratic processes, and civic culture in the Greater Newark Area. The conversation draws from a range of disciplines—including movement lawyering, community organizing, critical pedagogy, and participatory design—all grounded in the NJ Legal Design Lab’s ongoing partnership with Homes for All Newark.
